Class Description
Over the past few years, workplaces have become increasingly more concerned with understanding how the mental health of employees can impact their ability to be successful in the workplace. As a result, managers and supervisors are under increased pressure to be able to recognize when employees may be experiencing mental health or well-being issues and be available to effectively respond to the needs of employees who may be struggling.
Objectives:
This workshop provides managers and supervisors with an opportunity to learn:
- how to understand the importance of mental health in the workplace,
- recognize the signs and symptoms of potential mental health concerns,
- have an empathic, supportive conversation – where to find support for themselves and how to support others and an overview of potential resources.
Target Audience: Managers and supervisors
