This webinar will provide an overview of the City’s Community Hiring Initiative, focusing on the background of Community Hiring and how agencies can integrate Community Hiring goals into their procurements. The training will cover how Community Hiring impacts each stage of the procurement process, the rules and requirements agencies must follow, and the resources available to support compliance.
Objectives:
- Learn the background and requirements of Community Hiring law and rules.
- Understand the steps involved in setting Community Hiring goals from procurement planning to contract award.
- Learn about the forms, documentation, and tools required to incorporate Community Hiring into various types of procurements.
Identify common challenges and how to avoid them, along with best practices and resources available to assist agencies and vendors.
Target Audience:
This course is part of the Procurement Training Institute curriculum for all Mayoral and agency staff involved in procurement, contracting, and workforce development. It is particularly relevant for staff handling procurements subject to Community Hiring goals.
