Class Description
In 1914, Ernest Shackleton embarked on an epic voyage to the Antarctic aboard the Endurance, which tested the will, strength, and resolve of both the captain and crew. During this session, led by DCAS Commissioner Louis Molina, participants will review a combination of archival footage and historians’ remarks related to the voyage and explore the characteristics of effective leadership and teamwork in the face of challenges. In the words of Ernest Shackleton, “Optimism is true moral courage.” If you don't believe in what you're doing, you will fail because you will not have the strength of mind or body to succeed.
