Class Description
This course is a practical guide for leading and managing transitions with a people focus. Today we experience constant change. Changes can be strategic, planned, or an agile response to unforeseen events (like a pandemic). While change can happen quickly, transition is the individual process of adapting and re-adjusting to the new situation and happens much more slowly. Crucial to making change stick is a leader’s ability to address and manage the people side of change -- the transition.
By planning and communicating transition well, you can reduce resistance and bring out the people strengths that allow individuals to thrive through change and transition. This course will provide tools and information that will help managers understand how transition management complements and supports the people side of change.
Objectives:
- Understand the relationship between change and transition.
- Identify the Three Stages of Transition during any change
- Recognize key elements of a transition plan and understand team roles during times of change
- Use communication to effectively support change intentions
Target Audience:
Managers and supervisors who are leading people through transition and change.
