The Power of Words, Communicating with Intention and Impact (In-Person)
(formerly known as The Power of Words, Can We Talk?)
Navigating discussions on systemic racism, equity, and social injustice demands both discomfort and courage. These conversations underscore the impact of language to either facilitate or impede our journey toward a shared understanding of equity, and inclusion. This course will heighten awareness of the implicit and explicit power of words, empowering participants with the necessary tools to engage in effective and intentional communication to support an inclusive workplace.
Objectives:
- Learn the skillful art of communication
- Discuss the impact of bias in communications
- Learn how emotional Intelligence (EQ) can serve as an enabler to inclusive communications
- Practice and apply new skills and develop a call to action
Target Audience: Staff at all levels
